Winter in Melbourne

Seem like winter is here already, finding the morning a bit cold. Having to go outside and wipe all the windows on the car before I can drive off.

Rugging up nice and warm, have got the scarf out already, thinking about getting the gloves out also.

Have started putting the heater on at night as well, Have had to dry some of my washing in front of the heater at night to finish drying it off.

Graduation

On Friday night at the Box Hill town hall I graduated. I received my Advanced Diploma of Library/Information Services.

The ceremony was held at 7 pm. I had to be there at 5.30 to get my gown. Peter came to the ceremony.

6 people graduated in my course, only three of us were there.

Was nice to catch up and see what they had been up to. Both don't have jobs yet. I feel so luck to have my job. Seem like there isn't much work available at the moment, also once people get in a good job in libraries they seem to stay.

Day off work

Had a day off work, have a cold, kids at work have been coughing everwhere.

Mother's Day

Had a great mother's day.

Went to the movies with my husband and eldest son, we saw Iron Man 2.

I did a lamb roast for dinner. Sam Kekovich will be happy.

New Boss

My boss at work has handed in his notice, he is retiring at the end of the year.

So will be interesting to see who replaces him. Will there be changes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or will things stay the same.

Yesterday Eileen and I changed around part of our library. I've wanted to do this for a couple of weeks.

Things have been the same in our library for years. Not much has changed, more the school and the ladies who worked there before I started full time this year.

Weather in Melbourne

Had some rain last night hopefully we get lots more.

My garden is still very dry.

The dam are still very low, they dropped water restrictions but I think they should have left them where they were, what happens if we don't get much rain this winter, we will be back where we were last summer.

I love my gardening, so lets hope we get plenty more rain.

Building skills

Went with Eileen from work to a workshop at RMIT, about business skills. It is good to keep up your work skills, so things are always improving. We had some ladies who had been working before me, things hadn't been update for a number of years. You also have up-to-date knowledge to sell yourself.

New Zealand

Have book my trip to NZ for the boys and I for christmas this year. Poor Peter at home again.

More download

Have been unable to use computer for a few weeks as our download was used up, so computer is so slow, takes forever to do anything.

So from this month I have upgrade our plan.

Should be able to blog any time I want now.

Boys seem to use so much download with music and utube. Peter and I always seem to miss out. Our download was being used before we could do any thing by the boys, but should now be fixed.
